Todd Taylor, Attorney at Law

Todd Taylor is an experienced business and civil litigation attorney who has expertise in a variety of business and commercial matters, including banking, healthcare, and estate and trust. Mr. Taylor has tried numerous cases to verdict in various Oklahoma District Courts, Federal Courts, and the United States Claims Court. He has acted as counsel in over 100 arbitration matters before the American Arbitration Association, American Health Lawyers, NASD, JAMS Endispute and other private ADR panels.

His clients include banks, hospitals, physicians, attorneys, manufacturing companies, service companies, oil and gas companies and individuals. Mr. Taylor is an AV Preeminent rated attorney with Martindale Hubbell and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Oklahoma Super Lawyers (20 year selected member), U.S. News Best Lawyers and Top Attorneys in Oklahoma.   He has been named "Lawyer of the Year"  on multiple occasions by Best Lawyers, including most recently as Litigation Banking and Finance Lawyer of the Year for 2020.

Mr. Taylor was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association in 1986 after he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law With Highest Honors. He graduated in the top 2% of his law school class and received numerous honors, some of which include being elected to the Order of the Coif, recipient of the Welcome D. Pierson Memorial Award, the West Publishing Company Tax award and various American Jurisprudence awards. Mr. Taylor received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Summa cum Laude in 1982 with a degree in Accounting and minor in Economics.

Mr. Taylor was an attorney with Crowe & Dunlevy, P.C. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for over 20 years where he served as a shareholder and director of that firm and in various firm administrative capacities, including the Firm’s Executive Committee, Compensation Committee, Ethics Committee, Recruiting Director and Shareholder-Firm Administration.

In 2007, Mr. Taylor accepted a position on the Board of Directors of Great Plains National Bank (GPB). He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of GPB and on various GPB committees, including the Directors’ Loan Committee and Chairman of the Loan Review Committee. GPB is a national banking institution with over $1.6 billion in assets and operates from multiple banking locations in central and western Oklahoma and north Texas. Upon accepting these positions with GPB, Mr. Taylor established the firm now known as Taylor & Strubhar, PLLC.

Mr. Taylor has been an active volunteer and currently serves on the Board of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation. He previously served as Chairman of the ABA’s 10th Circuit State Law Committee. He has served the Oklahoma Lawyers for Children organization since early 2000’s and successfully argued one of the first cases to an Oklahoma District Court which dealt with exceptions to the Indian Child Welfare Act preference provisions. Mr. Taylor has devoted volunteer time to various organizations including acting as President of the North Oklahoma City Soccer Club and Board Member to Oklahoma Football Club. He currently serves as an Executive Board Member to the Oklahoma Energy FC.

He has been married to Laura Taylor since 1982 and they have three grown children - Tanner, Mitch and Meg.
